Serif Studio – Terms of Engagement

1. Introduction

These Terms of Engagement (“Terms”) set out the agreement between Serif Studio (“we”, “us”, or “Studio”) and the client (“you”) for design services provided. By engaging Serif Studio, you agree to these Terms.

2. Scope of Services

We provide brand and design services, including but not limited to logo design, business cards, flyers, social media templates, digital journals, e-books, and website design. A detailed scope of work will be provided in your proposal or quote. Any services outside the agreed scope may incur additional charges.

3. Invoicing and Payment

  • A 50% deposit of the total project fee is required before any work commences.

  • The remaining 50% is due upon project completion and before final files or deliverables are handed over.

  • Invoices are payable within 7 days of issue.

  • We reserve the right to suspend work or withhold deliverables until payment is received.

  • If collection is required, any fees incurred will be added to your invoice amount.

4. Revisions

  • We allow for a reasonable number of revisions to ensure your satisfaction.

  • Revisions are included within the scope outlined in your proposal. Additional or extensive revisions may incur extra charges.

  • Feedback should be provided in a timely manner to avoid delays in project delivery.

5. Intellectual Property

  • Serif Studio retains ownership of all designs, concepts, and materials until full payment has been received.

  • Upon full payment, ownership of final deliverables is transferred to you.

  • We reserve the right to showcase work in our portfolio or marketing materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Project Timeline

  • Timelines will be agreed upon in your proposal.

  • Delays caused by late feedback or changes to the agreed scope may affect delivery dates.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

  • Projects can be cancelled at any time in writing.

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • Work completed up to the point of cancellation will be invoiced, and any outstanding balance is payable.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • Serif Studio will provide services with reasonable skill and care.

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from our work.

9. Agreement Acceptance

By paying the deposit or otherwise engaging our services, you accept these Terms of Engagement.
